Handicap guide

To ensure our playing handicaps are accurate on competition days we are re-stating the Club 25 handicap guidelines.

(1) You should be play off your current lowest handicap whether that be with Club 25, another Spanish society or in another European country.

(2) If you have any federated score in Spain above 36 points not with Club 25, you must communicate your new sloped handicap to either Brian Fortune (Friday) or Peter Thompson (Sunday) before the Club 25 competition.

The European Golf Association states that you must apply the increase or reduction to your EGA handicap where required after a qualifying round for a score not yet recorded on your handicap record.

Many of our members are playing in several Spanish societies and to ensure fair competitions, it is the responsibility of all members to keep the Club 25 competition organizers aware of any federated result that could reduce your sloped playing handicap. The table below highlights how to calculate any handicap reduction.
