Club Championship The Rules

CLUB 25 GOLF – CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP 2012

1. Entrants must state before the first game if they are playing in one or both rounds

La Torre Local Rules

• Men to play from the Yellow plates (Note that the 9^th Tee has the wrong measurement on the post at the side of the Tee, play from the 161meter plate)
• Ladies to play from the Red plates
• If a ball goes into a grass bush play a provisional to speed up play
• When the ball is found your options are

1. Play it as it lies
2. Drop under penalty of 1 shot within 2 club lengths not nearer the hole
3. Keeping that bush between you and the hole and go back as far as you like under penalty of 1 shot
4. Go back to where you played the last shot from and take a drop under penalty of 1 shot

• Dropping Zones are in play on the 9^th and 11^th Holes if your ball goes in the water you have two choices 1) Use the dropping zone 2) Play again from the Tee.

1. The ball MUST pass the dropping zone when it hits the water to use the dropping zone, and if the ball does not pass the dropping zone area then you MUST play again from the Tee. In all cases you are playing your 3^rd shot.

• ALL sand areas are classed as Bunkers and therefore you cannot ground your club
• Footprints in bunkers do not get free relief, if you decide to take relief because the ball is un playable then it is a 1 shot penalty
• If your ball comes to rest in a water cutting on the waste area you have a free drop to the nearest point of relief no nearer the hole
• Embedded/Plugged Ball - You have free relief through the green

El Valle Local Rules

• Men to play from the Yellow plates
• Ladies to play from the Red plates
• If a ball goes into a grass bush play a provisional to speed up play
• When the ball is found your options are

1. Play it as it lies
2. Drop under penalty of 1 shot within 2 club lengths not nearer the hole
3. Keeping that bush between you and the hole and go back as far as you like under penalty of 1 shot
4. Go back to where you played the last shot from and take a drop under penalty of 1 shot

• The following areas are deemed lateral water hazards

1. Left of the fairway on the 5th
2. Right of the buggy path on 10th
3. Left of buggy path on 11th
4. This means that your ball does not have to be found and you can drop within 2 club lengths of the point where your ball crossed the hazard under penalty of 1 shot. If you find the ball you can play it but you cannot ground your club.

• Footprints in bunkers do not get free relief, if you decide to take relief because the ball is unplayable then it is a 1 shot penalty and you drop in the bunker
• If your ball comes to rest in a water cutting on the waste area you have a free drop to the nearest point of relief no nearer the hole
• Embedded/Plugged Ball - You have free relief through the green

NOTES:-

1. THE ENTRY FEE IS €10 PER PLAYER WHICH MUST BE PAID ON THE FRIDAY MORNING BEFORE THE FIRST GAME (€5 FOR TROPHIES AND €5 FOR THE BUFFET, ANYONE NOT PLAYING IN THE COMPETITION WHO WANTS TO COME TO THE BUFFET WILL PAY €5)
2. IF YOU REQUIRE A BUGGY FOR ANY OF THE ROUNDS PLEASE RESERVE IT YOURSELF
3. PLEASE ENTER THE GROSS SCORE ONLY ON THE CARD IN THE FIRST LINE, WHEN YOU HAVE FINISED YOUR ROUND CHECK YOUR CARD WITH THE PERSON WHO MARKED IT, THE CARD MUST BE SIGNED BY THE PLAYER AND THE MARKER AND YOU ARE SIGNING FOR THE GROSS SCORE ON EACH HOLE
4. IF THE COMPETITION IS A DRAW IT WILL BE DECIDED ON COUNT BACK, (BACK 9, BACK 6, BACK 3, BACK2, LAST HOLE, IF STILL A DRAW IT WILL BE THE BEST SCORE FOR THE LAST ROUND)
5. THE PRESENTATION WILL BE IN MOJOS AT 4.30PM FOLLOWED BY A BUFFET AT 5.00PM

   1. CLUB CHAMPION 2012 (CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY TO BE RETURNED IN JANUARY 2013, INDIVIDUAL  CLUB CHAMPION 2012 TROPHY TO KEEP)
