AGM - May 2013
Despite a slightly late arrival by the Secretary - the AGM got under way and ciovered all the matters on the agenda.
The Secretary is preparing the minutes and will send them out in the next few days.
FORD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Luke Murphy & Jill Thompson won 2nd place at the Ford Regional Qualifying Event at Las Colinas on Sunday!!
They now go to the Overall Final to be held at La Sella at the end of May. The finals will be held over 4 rounds with 3 overnight hotel stays, where Club25 will be represented alongside 15 other Societies in the finals.

Moore Memorial
This year’s Moore Memorial Event takes place on Saturday 13th July 2013.
Venue: La Finca Golf Club Cost: €40 Incl. Buggy Shotgun Start 09.00am
This an annual and very popular event, which brings CLUB25 GOLF & CLUB25 SERENA together.

VEGA BAJA LEAGUE
Another poor day at the office, with only Martin & Roy winning well, with the 2 Petes (Rastall & Hutton) squeezing a draw on the last hole! The final 2 teams were sadly crushed by their opponents, which included a Challenge Tour Professional (who played off the yellow tees!) - who made us look like a bunch of amateurs! THAT'S BECAUSE WE ARE!
As you can see from the table below, we have slipped behind Las Ramblas, who beat us in the last match and may well slip behind CLUB25 Serena as well if we lose again in our next match against La Manga North at RODA.

MURCIA LEAGUE
In our last Murcia League match of the season, Club25 played against San Javier today and recorded a magnificent win by four matches to zero! Peter & Steve won 5 & 2, Martin & Roy won by 10 & 4, Tony & Pete won by 6 & 4 and finally Brian & Mark came home with a 6 & 3 win! Four good wins against a team above us and the 3 points awarded to us meant that we scored 30 points against 13 by San Javier.
The final Mucria League table is shown below and we can be pleased to say is - CLUB25 actually beat the Champions, La Zenia, only just lost to Roca Juna but got thrashed by Marinasol!

Membership of CLUB 25
Whether you are a social golfer, just starting out — or like to play serious or competitive golf—whether young or old or man or woman — Club25 is the place for you.
Most Club25 members have joined the SIX IRM Global Golf Courses here in beautiful Murcia. These are La Torre, El Valle, Hacienda de Riquelme, Condado Alhama, Mar Menor and Saurines Courses. Club 25 Golf play every Wednesday and Sunday at one of the 6 IRM golf courses, as well as additional ad-hoc games, usually on a Friday.
We have members from many countries including Sweden, Belgium, Eire, UK and even a French American! Our members are a mix of Spanish residents and overseas visitors.
Full Members:
-
must join the Spanish Golf Federation
-
must have paid the €25 initial Joining Fee and the €10 Annual Fee

must buy a Club Shirt as and when we replace them
Rules above exclude honorary members
Any member who has not got a Spanish Federation number by 21st January 2013 will be removed from the members list and will play as a guest until they have a Federation number.
Associate Members

As above but have not joined the Spanish Golf Federation

Must play less than 15 games with Club 25 per year (any associate member playing more than 15 games must either join the federation and become a full member or go back to being a Guest, as below)
Guests
- Anyone who is not included above but plays with Club 25 on any society day (Club Shirt not available)
NB: The reason for not allowing Associate Members to play more than 15 games a year is that we need a system of maintaining their handicaps and whatever system we use it will not be consistent with the Spanish Federation handicap system which makes it unfair to our Full Members.
